Gold Coast Strings Workshop 2008

You are invited to join us for our Gold Coast Suzuki Strings Workshop. Classes will be offered for Violin, Viola and Cello.

The Workshop includes –

  • Instrumental Tutorials
  • Large group play-ins
  • String ensemble work
  • Graduation Concerts - Concerto graduation pieces accompanied by the Gold Coast Youth Symphony Orchestra
  • Play-in concert - Friday afternoon
  • Enrichment classes with Harley Mead - always fun!
  • Parent talk - provided by an interstate tutor
  • Professional Development - instrument specific tutorials conducted by interstate teachers - Haruo (violin) & Margaret (cello); plus the opportunity to observe student tutorials
  • Social Dinner & Twilight concert - Saturday evening

Twilight Concert – Saturday Evening

The Twilight Concert will showcase selected Suzuki students and various ensembles on Saturday evening.

The Concert will begin at 5:30pm. The program is available for download.

Seats are limited.

Catering Arrangements

The canteen will be open from 8am - 2pm, covering early morning coffee, morning tea and lunch. A menu is available for download.

We will not be providing afternoon tea.

The Twilight Concert Dinner will begin at 4:30pm and will end at 5:15pm.

The menu is available for download — payment can be made on the night.

The venue for Gold Coast Strings 2008 is again Somerset College. It is located on Somerset Drive, Mudgeeraba, Qld 4213.
